Well if you haven't heard already, the big news of the week is that we're having another baby! We found out a few weeks ago and have been keeping it under wraps for a while. But now we've let the cat out of the bag. Vanessa is now 8 or 9 weeks pregnant and last week we had an ultrasound done, and the baby is doing fine. So keep praying for us and the little baby, or peanut which was our codeword for baby during the time we were keeping it secret. We went to MacTown for the 4th and had a great time while we were in. I can't wait till we can go back in for another visit. I want to apologize for the time that has passed since the last time I had posted. Things have been crazy lately, so I just haven't had the time. Well here are the pictures from this past weekend, as well as a few photos from when we all went swimming at our apartment's pool. Well it has been a long time since I posted any photos on the blog, but now that our trip to Dollywood is over, I thought I would put up some photos. Nan 'T' will probably send some more soon. Papa Walker and Nan 'T' came up this weekend and made their way to Gatlinburg for a few days. On Tuesday we all went together to Dollywood for a day of fun. Gideon had a great time and did pretty well for the most part. We could tell he was getting real tired. The pictures show it. By the way he is wet in the pictures from some stationary airplane that sprayed water. Though I'm sure a little bit of that is sweat too. Gideon rode a few rides and a train and enjoyed his time with Papa and Nan 'T.' So check out the rest of the pictures. I'll post a few on facebook too. But they won't be any different from these. Not a whole lot to talk about really. I will however explain some of the photos. The photo with Gideon's face a mess is where he had been eating cookies. There's also a photo of him showing us his 'boo boo.' And the picture of him with the 'Flock of Seagulls' hair is because today is 'Wacky Hair Day' at school. Oh yeah, we are going back to MacTown this weekend to see our nephew graduate from high school so we're excited about that. Anyways, that's all I've got for now. Hope everyone has a great day.

It's been a busy week for us so let me get started. Gideon got a little sick sometime last weekend and it carried on to the rest of this week. We believe that it was only allergies. So I got to stay at home with Gideon a few days and so did Vanessa. When he was feeling better we took him outside to play on his tricycle. He loved riding it around and the beautiful weather was a plus. I'm just now getting around to posting the photos that Nan 'T' took around Easter and last weekend. I've also put up a picture that our nephew Jacob sent us of him and his girlfriend at prom. Hope everyone has a great day.

Okay so some of these photos are from Easter Weekend, but they're still new to you. Anyways, we went home for Easter and had a great time. Gideon enjoyed being with his Nan 'T', Papa, and Nana. While we were in Nan 'T' and Papa gave me a Wii Fit for my birthday. I've been using it like crazy and hoping that I lose a few pounds and gain a six pack. We'll see. Nan 'T' and Papa Walker came up for the Orange and White game and so I got them both to try out the Wii Fit. I would post Nan 'T' playing the Hula Hoop game on the Wii Fit, but I'm sure she wouldn't like that. But trust me it's funny. Well that's about all I've got for now. So today I decided to actually go a little more in depth about the weekend than what I have usually done. This past weekend Gideon and I went to MacTown to get our taxes done while Vanessa stayed home. She was sick for a few days and we decided that it would be best if she stayed behind. So it was just me and little man, and we stayed at Nan 'T' and Papa Walker's house. Gideon and I had a lot of fun and it was good to just have a weekend for just the two of us. Sort of a boys' weekend out. Gideon did very well and enjoyed every minute. Vanessa enjoyed her time alone, but she was glad to have us back home when we got back. And it was nice to be back home. In other news, Gideon is slowly but surely learning to use the potty. We've had a few times where he has used the potty and knew when he had to go, so that has been a big deal at home. Hopefully he'll get it figured out in the next few weeks so that he can move up a class. Anyways I put up a few photos from this weekend that Nan 'T' took and a few photos from a photo shoot we were getting ready for Kiffin. I'm usually the guinea pig for photo shoots to make sure the lighting is good. Oh, and the deal with me holding up two fingers on each hand isn't a gang symbol (at least not that I know of), it's more of a joke I call 'The Double Deuce.' No real meaning, just fun to show. Well Gideon is now 3 years old. Actually he's been three for a week now, but we decided to celebrate his birthday again on Saturday. He had a pretty good birthday. We got him a Cars birthday cake, that he didn't want to eat, but he did want to play with the toys that were on top of the cake. He also got a new bed. We bought him a toddler bed this weekend, so that he wouldn't have to sleep in his crib any more. He seems to like it, but he's still having trouble going to sleep it it. It's just going to take some time. Anyways, Nan 'T' and Papa Walker came up to visit and help us get rid of his crib and the extra bed in his room. It has really opened up a lot of room for him to play. They got him a little basketball goal for his room and he loves to play with it. Gideon also got a hair cut on Saturday. We all had a good time. Nan 'T' took some pictures so I went ahead and posted those. I haven't got my camera with me so I can't post the pictures I took. I'll try to post them tomorrow. Well that's all I've got for now. Sorry it's taken so long to post. Things have been really busy lately. Not much has been going on with us, but work has been pretty crazy. This weekend Nana came to visit with us, and she ended up having to stay an extra day because of the snow. We got a real nice snow here, but I'll be glad when it's all gone. We're supposed to get another round of it tonight. Gideon likes the snow. Yesterday Vanessa, Gideon, and Nana played in the snow and made a snowman. I put up a few pictures of Gideon and the snowman. Vanessa took the photos, I had to work on a snow day. He had a pretty good birthday too, but we probably won't do a huge party. Christmas time is here and gone. It seems as the older I get, the quicker Christmas gets here. Why couldn't it have been like that when I was a kid?! Oh well. Christmas was a lot of fun this year. Gideon got a lot of presents and liked the toys he had gotten. Most of his toys were car related. Both cars and Cars the movie stuff. His favorite toys right now are the two Lightening McQueen cars he got in his stocking. If we had known that those would be the only toys he'd play with we would have just gotten him those. He also got a V-Tech laptop from Aunt Jeri, which is not really a laptop in the real sense of a computer. It has a lot of educational games on it and right now he's pretty good with uppercase letters. It's helping him say the letter and know what it is at the same time. He got a lot of other stuff too, but I'm not going to get into that right now. Vanessa and I got a lot of stuff we had needed and a few things we wanted, so that was great for us. Nan 'T' should be sending us some pictures from last week sometime today or tomorrow, so when I get those I'll post them. Hope everyone has a great day.

The Kiffin shirt was free, so let's get that out of the way. It was pretty sad to see Coach Fulmer go, but I have to say I am really excited to see Coach Kiffin coming in as the new head coach at Tennessee. I haven't officially met him yet, but I did get to hang around him a while and shoot some footage of him yesterday. He seems to be a pretty good guy and I think he is ready to get this thing started. So we'll see how things go next season. Thanksgiving was a lot of fun for us. We kept it pretty low key this year since it was just the three of us. I wish I had taken a picture of all of the food before I carved up the turkey. I guess I'll just have to remember that next time. Anyways, there hasn't been much else going on. I took a few pictures of Gideon this morning because he saw me take a picture of myself with the Kiffin shirt on. So check 'em out and I hope everyone has a great day.

It's been a pretty tiresome weekend for us. Vanessa has been feeling sick the past few days and so she got a lot of rest this weekend. Gideon has been his usual self, and I've been busy with sports. Olympic Star!

Yes, it's true! I am an Olympic Champion. As you can see I have won the silver medal. Okay so I didn't really win an Olympic medal. Monica Abbott, a former Lady Vol and pitcher for the US Olympic Team, stopped by our office for a photo shoot. I was the stand in guy while our photographer took pictures to get the lighting correct. It wasn't long after that Monica put the medal around my neck and then handed me the American flag. It was truly a patriotic moment for me....and for Americans in general. So for ten minutes I was an Olympic Medalist. We took a lot of fun shots, including a shot of me hypnotizing my boss. Just one of the many perks of being in sports. I took a few pictures last night after Gideon had a bath and thought I would post them this morning. He's been a good boy the past few days. In fact Gideon has gone two nights without his pacifier. Usually at bedtime we give him his pacifier to help him get to sleep. His old pacifier was getting...well...old and worn out and so we had him throw it away because we told him it was "broken." Now when it is bedtime we have to remind him that he threw it away and that it was "broken." It's not been easy, but he's doing better. I hope that this will be the first step in helping him do other things, like using the potty. It's a work in progress, but he'll do well. Anyways, that's all I've got for now. I'm a little early this week with photos and news so I'm proud of myself. I'm disappointed to say that I didn't get any pictures of Gideon in his Halloween outfit. I couldn't find the camera until the next day, so I am pretty aggravated about that. But I do have two pictures of Gideon in one of the new shirts we bought him this weekend. So that should be good for everyone. I actually took them this morning. I think he looks cute. Not much else happened news wise this weekend. This coming weekend, Nan 'T' and Papa Walker are going to come up for Homecoming against Wyoming. Let's home UT comes away with a win before going into the bye-week to prepare for Vandy. It's Halloween time here at the Walker House and last night we finally carved our pumpkins. Gideon had fun but wanted to play with the carving knives. Of course we didn't let him. We all had a good time and I now have to give respect to my dad because carving pumpkins is not easy work. I carved the pumpkin that looks like Spongebob Squarepants and Vanessa carved the one that looks like a spider-web. Gideon was excited to see them this morning when we went to school. We're excited for Halloween to get here. For me it's just to eat whatever left over candy we have, and see Gideon in his Halloween costume. Well that's all I've got for now. Sorry for taking so long in posting photos and news, but I've been very, very, very busy lately. Things have been crazy around work, so I haven't had an opportunity to post anything. So today I'm posting the photos that Uncle Charles sent me, or at least some of the photos. I didn't want to post them all. I'm also posting photos that Nan 'T' took when she came up to stay before going to Jonesborough. Here's an update of Gideon. Some of you know that he was feeling sick this past weekend and even jammed (we think) his big toe. Well he is feeling a lot better now and is back to walking again. It's been another fun weekend for the Walker family. This weekend we had Uncle Charles and Aunt Bev along with Nan 'T' and Papa Walker come visit us. Now I can reveal what my big surprise for Uncle Charles was. I took Uncle Charles down on the field to watch the pregame events on Saturday. He was pretty excited and he got to take a lot of photos while he was down there. In fact I took his picture with Tee Martin standing next to him. Tee was really nice about it. Hopefully Uncle Charles will send me all of his photos so I can post them soon. He even had a prime spot to take pictures of the team running through the T. At one point while we were down there, Tennessee's punter kicked the ball near us and Uncle Charles ran over to get it for the manager. So you can see a picture of Uncle Charles trying out for quarterback below. We had a great time on the field and I was able to show him some of the new work they had done on the stadium and near the locker room. I was impressed with Uncle Charles for standing out in the hot sun for a long while. I was getting worn out and he was still trucking along. I must be out of shape! But all in all, we had fun and Aunt Bev got to see her first UT game at Neyland Stadium. Nan 'T' and I took a lot of pictures while they were in. Nan 'T' wanted to play the Wii and show Uncle Charles how to play, so he took a crack at it. He bowled better than Nan 'T' did! They also had a good time with Gideon. He showed out for them and even took a few pictures. So take a look and guess which ones he took. He was really sad when Nan 'T' and Papa Walker had to leave. He didn't want them to go and even cried after them when they drove away. Speaking of Gideon, the little guy isn't feeling so well. Vanessa is planning on picking him up a little early from school today because he has a little cough and some sniffles. I'm sure he'll get to feeling better soon. I put some pants and a jacket on him this morning because it was cold, so take a look at the picture I took of him this morning. Well that's about all I've got for now. Sorry about taking so long to post photos. We've been pretty busy lately with work and church, so I haven't had much time to post anything. Last weekend Nan 'T', Papa Walker, Nana, and Peyton all came up to pay us a visit for Booms Day. Booms Day is an event where Knoxville shoots off fireworks for the Labor Day Weekend. We all had a lot of fun and Gideon enjoyed having Peyton around as a playmate. Granny and Pa Bottoms sent up some grapes from their vines and we made some grape juice out of it the other day. It was the first time we had ever made fresh grape juice. Gideon really likes it. This should be an interesting weekend for us this week. We have our first football game at home Saturday and we will be having a lot of visitors stopping by. Nan 'T' and Papa plan on coming up for the game as well as Uncle Charles and Aunt Bev. We're excited to have them all come up for a visit and to watch the game. I have something special planned for Uncle Charles, but he doesn't know what it is. I would tell on here, but I wouldn't want the word to get out, so he'll just have to wait till Saturday. Well I hope everyone has a great day and enjoy the pictures.

Well Gideon finally got a haircut last night. We recently bought some clippers to use to cut my hair and so we decided to try doing the same with Gideon's hair. Now I like the way Gideon's hair looks, but Vanessa isn't too crazy about it. I think it makes him look more like a little boy, but that's just me. Let us know what you think.

I know it's been a while since the last time I have put up photos, but we've been very busy lately. If you haven't heard yet, we were in an accident the other day. Some guy hit us from behind while we were on our way to Wal-Mart. We're all okay, but the back of the Cruiser is messed up. The jerk who hit us ended up driving away, so we weren't too happy about that. We doubt they'll catch him. In other news, Gideon hasn't been feeling too well lately. In fact today is his first day back at school since last Monday. He's feeling a lot better, but has a little cough. Here at work I finally got my new computer and I am really excited about it. Let's just say it's really fast! Well here are some pictures I took this weekend. Two of them are from when I stayed home with Gideon and we went outside to play basketball. Hey everybody! There ain't a whole lot of news for this weekend. We did go to a park with our care group on Saturday and grilled out and it was a lot of fun. There was a water park area at the park and Gideon absolutely loved it. The bad part about him getting all wet though was that he would sit down in the dirt where we were grilling out at and his bottom end would be covered in mud. Unfortunately he got bit by two mosquitoes and now he has two big knots on him. But he's managing. We had a great time with our friends and the food was good. Luckily Misty Albright took plenty of pictures and so these are her photos. She owns a really nice camera and the pictures show it. We'll probably have some pictures to put up next week since Nan 'T' and Papa Walker are coming up for a visit this weekend. Hey everybody! We had another eventful weekend for the fourth. On Thursday afternoon we made our way back to MacTown to spend the weekend there. During our stay Papa Walker and I decided to try our hand at golfing. We soon realized that we are not Tiger Woods. Heck we aren't even Tiger Woods when he was three years old. We were pretty bad, but we had a good time. After that we went to Hardees where for the first time and probably the last, I lost my retainer for good. So now I look like a toothless redneck. Hopefully I can get it fixed soon. Despite that aggravating incident, we had a really good time. We all went over to Nan 'T' and Papa Walker's, along with Nana, to cook out and enjoy the fourth. On Saturday we all went downtown and enjoyed their fourth celebration on the fifth. We took Gideon over to the fountain and he loved that. Later that evening we went to the Lowes parking lot to watch the fireworks from the civic center. Gideon really enjoyed that. We came back on Sunday and are glad to be back. I went ahead and posted a few photos that we took. I'm sure Nan 'T' will send us more photos for me to post. I also put up some photos from the other day where I was helping our photographer. She took some good head shots. Anyways hope everyone had a great Fourth of July and has a great rest of the day!

Sorry for taking so long with putting up new pictures. I've been waiting on Nan 'T' to send them to me. I haven't really taken any pictures lately and when Nan 'T' and Papa Walker came up to Gatlinburg I figured she would take enough pictures for me. So recently we had to go back to MacTown for a funeral. We enjoyed the time we had to spend with all of our family. Gideon stayed at Nan 'T' and Papa Walker's house during the funeral and he apparently had a good time. On the Sunday of that weekend they came up to Gatlinburg and so we decided to go up there too. We all walked around the streets of Gatlinburg and enjoyed the nice weather. We tried to get Gideon to take a nap while he was up there, but I guess he was too excited to sleep. Not much else has happened since then. It's been a very slow week for all of us. Well I hope everyone has a good rest of the day and enjoy the pictures.

Well it's been a fun Memorial Day Weekend! Our apartment complex opened the pool on Saturday and so we took a trip down there to swim. We had a really fun time and I took a lot of pictures. We got Gideon a new hat and some floaties to help him around the pool. He had a really good time, but he wanted to go swim on his own. This weekend we worked on Gideon's numbers and he can sort of count to ten. We did get him on camera counting to five, so I figure that was pretty good enough. We also had an opportunity to see Nan 'T' and Papa Walker over the Internet yesterday. We all set up our webcams and was able to see and talk to one another. It was a lot of fun and a great gift for Papa on his birthday. Other than that, not much else happened. I'm sure that if I've forgotten anything I can post it next time. For once I am on time for putting up new photos. I took a few new photos this weekend because I actually had more time on my hands. Yesterday was our 6th anniversary. It was pretty uneventful though because we're waiting to celebrate some time this week. We'll probably go see Iron Man at the movies. Gideon got a haircut this weekend. Vanessa sat him down and trimmed his hair up a bit. I think it looks a lot better. If I get a chance today I will take a new picture of Gideon because it is 'Mis-Match Day' at day care today. His clothes are so mis-matched that Vanessa said it was like I clothed him like I normally do. I've got style too you know. Today I decided to put up some pictures of our new entertainment center, or whatever you call it. Looks cool to me. Anyways that's about all I got for today. Hope everyone has a great day.

I have heard your cries and here are some photos of Gideon. I took these a while back, so although they aren't new they are new to you. News wise we haven't had a whole lot going on, but here are a few things we did have happen. On Sunday Nana came up to visit us until she had to leave on Wednesday morning. We all had a good time together and I had planned on taking pictures while she was up here and then I forgot. Gideon really enjoyed having his Nana visit him and was not too happy when she left. Also yesterday was a pretty eventful day for me. First I found a baseball on my way to work near Gibbs hall, so that was pretty exciting considering that I haven't played baseball or probably held one in a long time. The big news however was the little surprise I got last night. The family and I went to town last night to return some things and Vanessa wanted to stop at Ross before we went home. So we went over there and I told her I was going to the Game Stop, a video game store, to look around. I joked that I was going to see if they had any Nintendo Wiis, which have been scarce all over. She said, you never know there might be one there. I laughed it off and said I would see them later. Well low and behold they had a Nintendo Wii, and so we decided to make this my late birthday, early father's day and Christmas present. We're actually both pretty excited about it. Eventually we'll get a Nintendo WiiFit, an aerobics like thing for the Wii, which is what Vanessa's been wanting to get so we can exercise at home. So that's pretty big news. Oh, one more thing. I got my picture taken with all 8 National trophies of the Lady Vols basketball team recently and posted only one photo, though I had a few more where I was goofing off. I decided not to post them since I didn't think it would be a good idea. If you want to see a few email me and I'll send them. Well that's all for now. Well it's been a while since the last time I have posted, but basketball has been kind of crazy so that's why I don't post as much. The Sunday before last, Nan 'T' and Papa Walker came up to visit us for the Lady Vols game. So that is why there are pictures up of all of us at the game. They had a good time while they were here. As for this weekend, we went home and stayed in MacTown for a night and enjoyed our time there. We had to go back to get our taxes done. While home we finally got to see Nan 'T' and Papa Walker's new bathroom and it looks good! It looks ten times better than what it could have looked like when Papa and I were going to fix it nearly ten years ago. If they send me pictures, I'll post them. In other news, I have been forgetting to tell ya'll that Gideon is slowly, but surely, getting off of his pacifier. He would only get it when he went to bed, and now he goes to sleep without it. Now when he wakes up in the middle of the night we'll give it to him so that he'll go back to sleep, but he's doing better at sleeping the whole night through. And speaking of little man, he is going to the doctor today for his two year check up. Hopefully he won't get any shots! Well I guess that's all for now. Hope everyone has a great week!

Not much here news wise, I just thought I would put up a few photos of Gideon and let everybody know how we're doing. Things are going well for us. Sports unfortunately are taking up a lot of my time. Gideon just moved up to the 2-3 year old class this week and he's enjoying that. Apparently he has a lot of friends in his class. Nan 'T' and Papa Walker are planning on coming up for the Lady Vols vs. MSU game on Sunday and will be hanging out with us for the rest of the evening. Okay, so I said I would post news and didn't. I've been incredibly busy over the past few days. Thankfully I am able to work from home today because little man wasn't feeling so well last night. Vanessa decided to stay home with him and I decided to bring my work home. Gideon is doing a lot better today. In fact it took him forever to finally lay down and sleep. He just kept yappin' away in his room. But enough about today! Gideon's birthday party was a lot of fun. We had family and friends show up for the party. Some of our friends in care group couldn't come because their kids were sick, so it was very understandable that they couldn't make it. Gideon, being a chip off the ole block, took the clothes he would get for his birthday and throw them aside for the toys. He enjoyed himself, but I don't think he had a clue what or why we were celebrating. Gideon loved all of his presents especially his new car that we got him. His eyes lit up when he saw it. We were pretty happy about it too. Well that's about all I got news wise. I'll try to post the pictures Nan 'T' took at the party soon. Oh, and if you didn't know, the Lady Vols are having a 'Think Pink' night for the Rutgers game this coming Monday. 'Think Pink' is to raise awareness about breast cancer. The game is at 7:00 ET(6:00 for most of you.), and will be on ESPN2. This will be the only time this year that you will be able to see me wearing a pink shirt. It is for a good cause so I don't mind. I'll end up giving the shirt to Vanessa. So watch if you can. Hope everyone has a great day.

Well it has been a while hasn't it?! Sorry about taking such a long break. The holidays have been very busy and I just haven't had time to put up any photos. But today has been a very slow day, as was yesterday I just didn't have my camera with me nor do I have my camera with me today. Nan 'T' though, sent me some pictures so I decided to put them up. I prefer to have bigger sizes for myself, but she'll send those to me later. But until then, I decided that I would give everyone a peek at these until I get my own photos up. Anyways onto the news. We enjoyed our time in Corinth and MacTown this Christmas, but were very glad to get back home afterwards. Gideon had a decent Christmas and I say decent because he was sick physically and home sick during our time away from Knoxville. He got really sick while in Corinth, but he started feeling better the day we left. For Christmas he got a lot of fun toys. My favorites were the Mr. Potato Head and Thomas the Train Tunnel. We both played with the tunnel yesterday. He's been growing a lot the past few weeks. He's started saying new words like 'Nanny' and 'Poppy.' For those of you who don't know some of the other words he's been learning have been 'ball', 'snowman', and calling Santa 'Big Guy.' I'm sure that there are more words I just can't remember them all. Vanessa and I had a good Christmas too and got a lot of clothes. That's about all I've got for now. Before I go though, I will let you know that the last two pictures were taken by our photographer here at work when I was filming for the AAFL which will be starting up in April. Wow it has been really busy lately! I'm sorry it has taken so long to post these, but we've been busy the past week. So let's get on with the news. Thanksgiving went over really well. Once again Vanessa cooked a wonderful meal and I had trouble carving the turkey. I've got to get me one of those electric carvers like Papa Walker has. Nan 'T' and Papa Walker came to eat with us and we all had a good time and were stuffed after dinner. On Monday Nana and Nanny(on Vanessa's side of the family) came to see us. They stayed for a couple of days and as usual Gideon showed out. And speaking of Gideon he is really growing. Just this week he has been on an eating rampage, so we figure he's getting ready to hit a growth spurt. He's also doing a lot of singing lately. Not so much singing words but singing the sounds of the words. Right now he's singing more of Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star and Old McDonald. Well that's all the news for now. I'm going to have to make this quick, cause I've got to run over to the Fulmer press conference. We had a good weekend with some of our favorite visitors. Nan 'T' and Papa Walker came up along with the whole Pinkston family. They were finally able to enjoy the wonders of UT Game Day. Last year they came to the Marshall Game where it rained so bad that the football team didn't run through the 'T' for the first time since they started that tradition. Sorry that it's been so long since I've posted any pictures. I had some time this afternoon and thought I would post the ones Nan 'T' sent me. Not too much has been going on this week. Gideon and Vanessa have been under the weather lately. Vanessa finally feels better but Gideon doesn't feel too good. Yesterday he was running a temperature of 101. So Vanessa stayed home with Gideon today. I slept in so I could spend some time with them both. If you're planning on watching the Tennessee Men's Basketball team tonight, then keep your eyes open for me. I will be editing game highlights during the game. I think I will be somewhere around press row which is behind the players bench. I'll be dressed up for this one, and future ones. Well I have been so lazy lately, or busy either one. I don't really have a lot of news to talk about. We recently got Gideon a potty and so I took a few pictures of him trying to use it. He mostly just sits there and reads, but at least he's on it. On Halloween, Gideon went to his day care's party as an ear of corn. Vanessa found the costume idea in a magazine and decided to try it. Well I've finally gotten around to putting up some new pictures of Gideon. Taking pictures of Gideon isn't as easy as it use to be because I end up taking the same old pictures all the time. So that explains why I sometimes don't post a lot of pictures. So now onto some news. Gideon started day care last week and had a hard time getting used to it, but yesterday he went in and didn't cry or anything. So we're starting to see some improvement. I think that first week was new for him and he just had to get through it so he could get warmed up to it. This weekend Nan 'T' and Papa Walker came to visit. I should rephrase that. Nan 'T' came last Wednesday and Papa showed up on Saturday. Nan 'T' came up for storytellers in Jonesboro(sp?). Her and Vanessa worked on rearranging furniture since we got some new furniture from The Bishops. We love our new stuff and was glad to get rid of our old couch. Anyways, some big news from this weekend was that I was able to go out on the field during the game and shoot video. Not only that but I got to run into the 'T' while the team ran out. I ran into it from the opposing team's sideline. So now we can all say that a Walker has run through the 'T' at a Tennessee football game. I'm going to probably do it again against South Carolina. Finally got some Gideon pictures up! Things just don't seem to lighten up here work wise, except for on the off week, which is this week. I'm always excited on the off week because it's a little more laid back. Anyways, we found out last week that we had to get rid of our grill. Apparently the Fire Marshall says you can't have gas grills either. So I'm still pretty mad about that, but oh well. Gideon has been cute as usual. He's learned how to make sounds similar to counting 'one,two,three.' It's really funny. He's also figured out how to open his closet door, so now he goes in his closet and hides. We found out on Friday night that he may be allergic to mosquito bites. He got bit twice near his left eye and it swelled up a little bit Sunday morning. He also got bit on his forehead, so we've felt really bad for him. Other than that, there isn't much else going on. Although we are planning on going back to MacTown this weekend. So that should be fun. Anxious to get back for awhile. Well I guess that's all for now. Oh in the pictures below you'll see me looking like I'm crying while holding Gideon. I'm actually fake crying to get some hugs out of Gideon. It's about the only way I can get a hug out of him. Hope everyone has a great day.

These are a few pictures that Papa Walker took while at the Colts/Titans game Sunday. Peyton decided to stand there for Papa so that he could take his picture...okay so maybe he didn't, but he got some good shots regardless. Speaking of Papa Walker, Gideon and Joelle were looking at this very blog and apparently Gideon saw Papa's picture and he said 'Papa.' So we're pretty impressed with Gideon's learning right now. He's also saying 'Hi,''Bye,' and 'Great.' He's also singing Jesus Loves Me, but without the words and not very well. But it's music to my ears. His Aunt Jeri gave him a little rabbit a while back that sings Jesus Loves Me and that's where he's hearing it. We're singing with him more now to help him learn the song better. We tried to get him to sing it on camera, but he wouldn't do it. I wish we had some pictures of him from this weekend, but we've been so busy that there just hasn't been time. Speaking of busy, work has been pretty hectic lately. And my job has been moving to being 4/4 of the way complete instead of 3/4. So my job should be 100% ready by the end of this month or the beginning of next month. It's been a long wait, but God has been faithful. He's the only reason I'm getting this job, so all praise belongs to Him. Anyways, I've got to go cover the Press Conference. Hope everyone has a good day!

Well I've finally gotten around to putting up the photos I took last weekend. I had a bunch of pictures of Vanessa's brother, Derick, playing with Gideon. So those are finally up. Onto this weekend. Well it was a great weekend! On Friday I got word that my job is finally going through. Host Communications will start paying me soon and UT has hired me on as a Full-Time employee without benefits. Hopefully the benefits thing will change after a year. We'll see. And speaking of UT, the Vols played a great game last Saturday. I was really worried during the first half of the game, but they pulled through in the second half. I hope they keep it up for the Florida game. Nan 'T' and Papa Walker came up this weekend too for the game. Nan 'T' actually decided to not go to the game and stayed with Vanessa and Gideon. I guess I can't blame her with Gideon around. Those three had a good time together and Papa Walker and I had a good time at the game. Although I had to work the game, so he had to sit by himself. Something of interest to folks is that on Saturday Gideon called Papa Walker 'Papa.' It was a pretty exciting moment. Well I guess that's all for now. Hope everyone has a great day!

Hey, sorry everybody. I have been so busy lately that I haven't had any time to put up pictures. In fact these are pictures from Nan 'T'. I haven't even had an opportunity to upload my own pictures. So bear with me. This past weekend we went to stay in McMinnville at Pa Bottoms' cabin on the river. We really enjoyed ourselves and for once got a lot of rest. I went down to the river on Saturday and swam for a little while and that was fun. Gideon got a chance to watch all of the squirrels and one groundhog that came by the cabin. He also got to see some of the different animals that Uncle Harold owns. He really seemed to enjoy himself while in McMinnville. Vanessa was having some allergy problems, but she still had a good time. I'm sure that there was a ton more I could say, but nothing is coming to me. I'll try to put up some more pictures from last weekend if I can. Oh and the last picture for today is one that our photographer, Elizabeth, took to get ready for a photo shoot with the cheerleaders not long ago. I thought it would make a great head shot for Hollywood!

It has been a very tiresome weekend! Saturday was a rough one with the Lady Vols soccer team opening their new stadium and the football team having a scrimmage at night. I have to say I am beat. But enough about me, on Friday Vanessa and Gideon had to go to the doctor. Vanessa went to see how her blood levels were from the clot and the doctor said her levels are normal and she can eat all the leafy greens she wants. So that was great news for us. Gideon had to go get more shots and apparently he wasn't too happy about that. We found out he weighs around 30-31lbs. and is 31-32in. tall. The doctor said he looked healthy and is doing good. He actually wants Gideon back on whole milk. In other news, Poppy had his book signing on Saturday. Papa Walker told me there was a good turn out and that Nanny and Poppy were very excited about the signing. We should be getting our copy of the book when we go home on Labor Day weekend. Well I have been really behind on putting up pictures and news lately. Things have been really busy since football practice started and when season starts it will only get worse. This past weekend Nan 'T' and Papa Walker came to visit us and we all had a good time together. Nan 'T' took some pictures and so I decided to post a few of them. On Monday night Vanessa went to get us some supper at Hardees, and Gideon got to eat his first kid's meal. We thought it was a pretty big moment, so I took some pictures of him. Well it has been a very hard week this past week. I am so sorry I haven't posted anything, but I've been doing freelance work with the AAU Jr. Olympics shooting live streaming video. It paid good so I didn't mind the work. The work was actually really easy, but it was just so darn hot that it made the work hard. The guy who was the director over the work I was doing took some pictures of all of the guys working and so I've posted some of those pictures he took of me. In the pictures it looks like I stayed in the shade all day, but don't let that fool you. I did quite a bit of work in the sun. I got a good farmer's tan though. Anyways, not much else has been going on. We've been trying to take it easy since I started the work with the AAU. Now that it's over I'm switching back to regular work, meaning football season is here. So more long nights and yells from coach. Oh well. Gideon was a little sick this past week, but it only lasted a few days. He ran a temperature and so Vanessa took him to the doctor. We found out he weighs 30 pounds, so we're going to cut back on the whole milk that he gets. He's feeling better now and still into everything. He's slowly learning new words. We think he has learned to say 'I did it.' He's also learned to say 'uh huh'(as in agreeing), and 'duhn, duhn, duhn.' There are also other words he is picking up, but half of the time you can't tell they are words until long after he has said them. Yesterday we had the Seats over for lunch and enjoyed our time with them. I took a picture of all three of the boys together. They all looked cute together and had fun running around playing and dancing. Well I guess that's all for now. I'll post more stuff later.

Well I finally decided to take a bunch of pictures this weekend. So I'm not slackin' for once. Like most weekends here, there isn't much going on. Here's what all did happen. I forgot to mention that a few of the guys from my care group decided to get together last Wednesday night to watch a movie at the Dollar Theater. The actual price is really $1.50. We saw Spider-Man 3, which I've already seen. We all had a good time, except for maybe Travis. He was struggling with all of the little kids running back and forth through the theater. I can't blame him though. It was annoying. So back to the weekend news. On Saturday we were planning on getting Gideon a swing to hang from our porch. Unfortunately Wal-Mart was out of them, so we got him some of those giant lego blocks and we all had fun with them. Vanessa and I had the most fun with them. They came with a pair of eyes that you can attach to the other legos and we decided to take pictures of ourselves with them on. Yeah we're weird! We also bought the game 'UNO.' Now I've never played 'UNO' and Vanessa hadn't played it in a long time. So we learned the rules and played the game and I've come to the conclusion that I really stink at 'UNO.' I think my own son could beat me at 'UNO.' We played Saturday night and she killed me and then Sunday night she obliterated me. It's still a fun game though, but I wish I had bought Marvel Comics' Guess Who game. She wouldn't have stood a chance. On Sunday Vanessa made some BBQ and I grilled some corn outside. I really had to floss after eating that corn! Anyhoos, the food was really good. Unfortunately for Gideon, he didn't have such a good night. He woke up a lot and didn't fall asleep until well after 10:30. Hopefully he'll sleep better tonight. I guess that's all for now. Hope everyone has a great day.

I don't have a whole lot of news to share this week. I would say that about the biggest thing that has happened this week was getting my picture in the New Sentinel this morning. Yesterday I had to go shoot some video about the renovations on Thompson-Boling Arena and apparently one of the photographers took my picture along with the rest of the media. So you can't miss me wearing a Tennessee hard hat. You can also go on GoVolsExtra to see the picture too. Well that's about all for now. Sorry I haven't posted many pictures. It's been a slow week. Well another week has come and gone and I seem to be getting lazier about updating. So here's what all has been going on this week. On Wednesday night Vanessa and Gideon went back to McMinnville to attend her uncle's funeral. I had to stay in Knoxville, so it was pretty lonely. While in McMinnville Vanessa got to visit with family and enjoy some time alone with Gideon. She was glad to be back though. And I was glad she was back too. Today I took a few pictures of Gideon in his new Tennessee shirt. He's awful cute in it. I'm also posting some pictures that Nan 'T' sent me the other day. That's about all for now. Well it's been a slow weekend as you can tell by the number of pictures I've taken. Hopefully Nan 'T' will send me some of the pictures she took when we were back home last weekend. Anyways, Gideon has had a rough weekend with a bunch of new teeth making their way in. He hasn't been too happy, but we're hoping he gets to feeling better soon. Vanessa and I went to see Transformers: The Movie on Saturday night. It's a really good movie so go and see it. You won't regret it. Well that's about all I got for today. Maybe something interesting will happen this week. We'll just have to wait and see. Hope everyone has a great day.

Well we had another fun weekend back in McMinnville. Although when we got home we were really tired. On Friday we left Knoxville in the afternoon and got to Nana's house that evening. We had a really good time while we were there. I didn't take as many pictures as I usually do, but there's enough to keep everyone satisfied. While in McMinnville we got to see Granny and Pa's new cabin. They're still working on it, but it looks really nice. Also Vanessa got to ride Kelvin's lawn mower and mowed Nana's yard. She has only been on a riding mower once to actually mow and that was when she was in high school, so she really enjoyed that. Gideon had a rough time getting used to being in a new place again and didn't sleep well on Friday night, but he did better on Saturday and Sunday night. Nan 'T' fixed her famous brownies and they were really good. In fact we brought some back to Knoxville with us. Oh, one last thing before I go. For Vanessa's birthday, Nana got her an ice cream maker. We're anxious to use it on the Fourth. Well I guess that's all for now. Hope everyone has a great day.
